Peter Hausdorf (Ph.D.)
Peter has extensive expertise in the design and implementation of assessment and selection systems across a wide range of organizations. He has considerable experience working with senior management teams in multiple roles (as a presenter, group facilitator, project leader, and coach).
Laura Gatto (Ph.D)
Dr. Laura Gatto is a Sessional Professor of Industrial-Organizational Psychology and a Work-Integrated Learning Practitioner at the University of Guelph. Laura works closely with Employer Partners in job function analysis, recruitment and selection, disclosure and accommodations, and EDI in the workplace.
Halah Abu-Omar
Halah joined OMS as a consultant in Fall 2022. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at the University of Guelph. Her research interests include motivation and reward systems, trust, and personnel selection.
Jasmine Singh
Jasmine joined OMS as a consultant in Fall 2022. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational psychology. Her research interests focus on understanding experiences of diverse and marginalized groups within work domains.
Rachel Appiah
Rachel is one of the few recent members joining OMS in fall 2022. Rachel has experience in onboarding, recruitment, training, and job upskill. Rachel is eager to gain professional and academic experience in areas related to wellness, motivation, and organizational effectiveness.
Simran Dhatt
Since Fall of 2022, Simran has been a consultant with OMS at the University of Guelph. Her research interests include organizational trust and burn-out.
Amara Robbins
Amara joined OMS as a consultant in Fall 2023. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at the University of Guelph. Her research interests include personnel selection, workplace diversity and inclusion, and bias mitigation.
Akierah Binns
Akierah joined OMS as a consultant in Winter 2023. She is a PhD Management candidate in the Gordon Lang School of Business with a broad spectrum of professional experience spanning several industries, including tourism, national security, public relations and communications. Akierah’s research experience involves doing literature reviews on topics relevant to organizational change, including restructuring, job loss, immigrant workforce integration, and franchise management from the management and employer perspectives.
Corey Wood
Corey joined OMS as a consultant in Fall 2024 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at the University of Guelph. Outside of OMS, she is a Bilingual Talent Advisor and Recruitment Consultant. Her research interests include recruitment and selection, candidate experiences, and employee health and well-being. Corey’s work in industry allows her to bridge her passion for research and practice, applying evidence-based insights to improve talent processes.
Tianzi Dou
Tianzi joined OMS as a consultant in Fall 2023. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at the University of Guelph. Her research interests include strengths-based approach, contextualized merit evaluation, and diversity in organizations.
Mavis Opoku
Mavis joined OMS as a consultant in Fall 2024 and is currently pursuing a PhD in Management at the University of Guelph. Mavis has over a decade of diverse experiences spanning teaching, research, operational support, and procurement. She is currently carrying out research on employee response to workplace mistreatment.
Fiona Burns-Hemingway
Fiona joined OMS as a consultant in Fall 2024. As a researcher in the Workplace, Inequality, Diversity, Equity, and Gender (WIDE GEN) Lab, Fiona hopes to utilize her knowledge of cumulative advantage/disadvantage and contextualized merit assessment to inform equitable selection and recruitment processes.
Connor Hill
Connor joined OMS as a consultant in Fall 2024 with experience in service industry customer retention and program evaluations focused on employment support. At the University of Guelph, he has gained experience in employment interviews, project management, survey development, and quantitative data analysis. His current area of research focuses on the relationship between employee entitlement and performance appraisals.
Shayla Lazanik
Shayla joined OMS as a consultant in Fall 2024. She is currently pursuing research in the areas of selection and recruitment. Shayla has worked in social psychology labs assisting with data collection on studies related to AI, prosocial behavior, and the effects of daily social interactions on behavior and mood.
